who am I?
I’m Tariq Abdelgany, I have been working in the teaching field for 30 years. I have an extensive experience in teaching IB for more than 17 years. ( IB Principal Examiner / Moderator / Team Leaders (Arabic B HL) – Participation in the virtual Grade Award process). I have been Certified in Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert- MIE Expert list.
My major achievements include a) planning of teaching plan for the IB academic year, b) implementation and management of exam Quizzes, c) formative and summative Exams for Years 9-12. D) extracting and analyzing exam results data. I also have an extensive experience on several new teaching technologies using online resources and E-Learning.

My Vision
What are my aims in the teaching process?
Vision
Teaching my students Arabic language a qualitative and distinguished education, which enables them to develop their language skills, to achieve the standards and aims of the International Baccalaureate (IB ) in the curriculum of language acquisition and literature, to obtain the highest grades that qualify them to join the faculties of the university.
Aims
- Develop international – mindedness through the study of languages, cultures, and ideas and issues of global significance.
- Enable students to communicate in the language they have studied in a range of contexts and for a variety of purposes.
- Encourage, through the study of texts and through social interaction, an awareness and appreciation of a variety of perspectives of people from diverse cultures.
- Develop students’ understanding of the relationship between the languages and cultures with which they are familiar.
- Develop students’ awareness of the importance of language in relation to other areas of knowledge.
- Provide students, through language learning and the process of inquiry, with opportunities for intellectual engagement and the development of critical- and creative-thinking skills.
- Foster curiosity, creativity and a lifelong enjoyment of language learning.
My major achievements Related to the International Baccalaureate include:
Working on developing the student’s language skills (writing – reading comprehension – listening – speaking) at the core of the International Baccalaureate Diploma program.
1.1 Writing:
Teaching writing course in the Arabic language and its various forms, such as the blog, the report and the letter … etc.
1.2 Reading comprehension:
Training the student on reading comprehension by applying analytical reading rules, extracting vocabulary meanings, understanding sentences, and deducing sub and main thought.
1.3 Listening:
Training and developing the student’s skill on a variety of oral texts that display differences, linguistic diversity, and regional accents.
1.4 Oral:
Training the student to develop the student’s speaking skill, use the correct ideas and words, and give the remarks and opinions developed effectively.
2 Extended Essay:
Supervising and mentoring more than 40 students through the extended essay, achieving a 99% success rate among the graduating seniors.
– Managebac implemented to track multiple sessions; Using the software has greatly improved the communication between me and the students.
Lead a series of sessions on extended essay requirements, develop research papers, and train students to write a college-wide research paper, including developing research questions, citations, reference notes, and table of contents.
3- Determine the student's level and strengths and weaknesses that need improvement.
3.1 Weaknesses: They are worked on and developed through working on a program designed and based on developing the student’s language skills according to the level of each student.
3.2 Strengths: Continuous training on them by solving exam samples until the student achieves the highest level in the language.
4- Preparing the student to deal with external examinations.
Preparing the student to deal with external examinations by explaining the strategies for dealing with them and training to achieve the required evaluation standards.
